SHAUN SILVA FOUNDER/DIRECTOR
With award-winning music videos, commercials, and documentary films, Shaun Silva puts storytelling at the forefront of the TackleBox Films brand. Looking back it’s easy to see that through delivering compelling stories and premium content, TackleBox Films helped launch the successful careers and lifestyle brands of country superstars Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, and Jason Aldean. The result of that success was TackleBox Films becoming an integral partner in telling their stories, and as their stories grew, so did the ongoing story of TackleBox Films.
Chace Strickland is a TV commercial director, photographer, and most importantly a storyteller, known for delivering high-end visual photography and film for ad agencies and clients around the world. Strickland has shot stills and commercials extensively across every category from lifestyle, family, tourism, to pharma, and food/beverage. He has always had a passion for being behind the camera and shooting film that reflects authenticity, beauty and realism.
We are elated to welcome Emmy Award-winning Comedy Director Lee Farber to our team. Farber has been a successful pillar in the entertainment industry for over twenty years, his career was jump-started when legendary talent manager and producer Bernie Brillstein hired him to write for “The Wayne Brady Show” which led to writing and producing Wayne’s daytime talk show, earning Lee an Emmy Award. Shortly after that, Farber was asked to join a revamped version of “Talk Soup” simply called “The Soup”, for what was supposed to last 6-8 weeks and ended up running for 11 years. Farber recently Directed Amazon’s Docuseries “This Giant Beast” with Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, Zach Galifianakis, Rashida Jones, Ted Danson, Ed O’Neill, Jason Sudeikis, Mary Steenburgen and Colin Hanks. Farber’s first feature film “The Lonely Italian” which premiered on Hulu was awarded Best Comedy Feature at the San Diego International Film Festival. Shortly after that, he Directed the filmed segments for Netflix’s “The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale”. Most recently Farber wrote and directed the hit comedy series “Expedition Back To The Future” for Discovery starring Christopher Lloyd, Michael J. Fox, Lea Thompson and Josh Gates. Lee Farber is a true comedic powerhouse and an incredible person to work with, he encompasses an unparalleled mix of experience and talent that we could not be happier to have on our team.
MASON ALLEN & NICKI FLETCHER
TackleBox Films welcomes the cultivated directing duo “Gemini” formed by Mason Allen and Nicki Fletcher. Each separately embodies unique creative skills and when combined are the imaginative powerhouse that is Gemini. Specializing in film, photography and editing Allen began touring internationally with the band Old Dominion. Allen went on to accept the role of OD’s creative director receiving five award nominations from ACM and CMT, and his video “One Man Band” winning CMT Group Video of the Year award. With an eye for fashion, graphic design and creative direction, Fletcher became the lead art director for Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd’s management company House of 42. There she excelled at designing album artwork, and directing music videos and live performances. Fusing Allen’s passion for film/photography and Fletcher's overarching innovative visual eye, Gemini champions the creative objective to produce high-quality unique content that we are proud to represent.
With a strong resume of sports docs, music, and premium brands Elizabeth Sim is a welcome addition to the TackleBox Films family of creators. Sim has directed for a spectrum of brands that include GMC, Clorox, American Eagle and Blavity but what caught TackleBox Films founder Shaun Silva’s attention was her work in Sports and Music. Sports and Music will always be two major pillars in the DNA of what sets TackleBox Films apart and the launching pad for our Directors to grow their careers, says Silva. Sim brings a fluid style of shooting that she credits to her early work in sports. A creative eye for cinematic composition and a clear understanding of team, she credits much of her success to her collaborative prowess while keeping her creative eye on the objective.
TackleBox Films is pleased to welcome Travis Knight into our family of talent, Knight has a deep connection to music and creative production with roots as an AD in the commercial, music video, and film space since 2005. Knight has also had a successful career as a writer, producer, and musician for twenty-five years and truly understands the importance of premium visual content to elevate artists and brands. With Travis Knight’s expansive library of ADing commercials, short films, and branded content for fashion, comedy, tech and promos he is currently sinking his teeth in as a full-time director and has directed three RVSHVD music videos and is currently in prep to direct two feature films “There's Something in the Water" surf documentary with Europacorp, and a period Western set in Florida. Knight approaches each project with passion and a unique creative lens both from the perspective of an artist and a director encapsulating a strong visual message in any format.
